Kingston Yacht Sales is proud to represent this rare and magical boat. This is no project wood boat, this 1963 Chris Craft Constellation is almost showroom condition. Rare to find a classic of this era who is still almost original in every aspect. Beyond a microwave and a hidden stereo, you have the boat as she left the factory in Holland Michigan, November 1962. From her completely rebuilt transom to the teardrop running light at the bow she is pure Chris Craft style. Notice the gauges, all original and all functioning. Unique items such as the “Sniffer box’ Beside the helm seat , it samples the air in the engine bay an gives an audible beep and a green OK light as you run the blowers to ensure safe starting of the Original Chris Craft twin 283s. Both engines were rebuilt at 1200 hours and are now reading 1800 so lots of dependable use remain. All the wood is up kept save a 3 X 3 inch patch on the hand railing which is already scheduled to be varnished. The job this year is having her Hull stripped to bare wood and sealed and copper colored bottom paint applied, Pics included of the bare hull just before covering. She will sleep six, 2 forward in the captains v-birth with amazing light and hanging lockers, 2 in the convertible settee bunk bed style and two in the drop-down dining table. My favorite the separate brass hot and cold taps in the head- All original (Pump head is new). Hidden behind the lifting settee is stored a set of solar panels that can be moved up top and plugged in to help with time on the hook. Hidden away in the galley is a 1500 watt inverter to run more modern coffee pots. Back to the deck- we find twin drop down raised seats both featuring fold away footrests. Navigation is covered by a Standard Horizon GPS. On top of the hard top is a swivel searchlight and air horn, as well a Christ Craft swept back wing for style. Her open cockpit is all teak in perfect condition, all surrounded with a deep transom and sides with stainless steel railings and deeply varnished wood caps. Included is a tonneau style canvas to keep the cockpit covered. Walking up the wide side gunnels leads to a huge space on top of the cabin and a bench seat for the best view in the house. An anchor is fastened to the foredeck just ahead with rode and chain leading to a chain locker thru the bollard post.

Who should own this boat? If you are ok with a great deal of attention on the dock and enjoy getting unending waves or respect from other boats you pass you could be a candidate. If you are meticulous about on-going maintenance and find it rewarding and not a thing to put off this is a fit. This Chris Craft is in the rare position of being a boat to maintain not rebuild.

A survey of the boat is being conducted now. On land is complete and on-water will be done when launched Late June.
