C&C 35 For Sale

The C&C Landfall 35, was produced from 1981 to 1985 and was manufactured at their Rhode Island plant. Advertised as the ‘Couples Cruiser’, the non-traditional layout boasts a large V-shaped settee with convertible dinette table ahead of the mast. Once the table was dropped in-place, it converted into a very large sleeping berth, with the ability to lay and look out the forward hatch to gaze at the stars.

The designed is summed up nicely by Kurtis Samples who states “While afloat one notices her pronounced bow, giving her the ability to take waves. Her grace-full sheer lines, slight up-swept transom, moderately wide beam and a tucked in coach house. In the eyes of a navel architect, this equates to sea keeping abilities.”

Well laid out, this 35 provides everything the cruising couple will need: Refrigeration and freezer, diesel engine, large aft berth and convertible dinette, plenty of galley space, and the large head to aft.  She could use a little TLC but is a lot of boat for the money!

Bayfield 29 For Sale

The Bayfield 29 has a full keel, cutter rig (two head sails), a shallow draft, and a built-in bowsprit (complete with stylized wooden trail boards on either side of its bow). It is an out-and-out cruising boat and regarded as capable of offshore passages.

A unique feature of the Bayfield 29 is that it has no V-berth, which, on some boats, can be cramped and difficult to get in and out of. Instead, the Bayfield 29 has a huge and comfortable head where the v-berth is normally found. It does, however, have two quarter berths, as well as two berths in main cabin, one of which converts into a double. The Bayfield 29′s cabin is wide open, but built-in wooden panels which slide up from the galley counter and the chart table (a nicely executed idea) can be used to divide the living space into two areas.

This Bayfield 29 has unique tall-mast option, with mast and all rigging for Bayfield 32′ as purchased at the Toronto Boat Show by the first owner.  Currently on her second owner, she is a well maintained late model Bayfield with a clean Yanmar diesel.  Regarded by some as having the perfect interior layout for a pocket cruiser.

Alberg 30 For Sale

“A legend in it’s own time”, that’s the description John Vigor made about the Alberg 30 in his book Twenty Small Sailboats to Take You Anywhere. And indeed the Alberg 30 has garnered a huge following with an active community of owners in North America. It’s an unmistakably traditional boat with long overhangs, a narrow beam, and a full cutaway keel-attached rudder, a design harkening back to the early 60s that’s forgiving to sail and seaworthy enough to cross oceans.

Berths accommodating a crew of four are divided into two areas, two in the v-berth, and two in the main saloon area. In between is the head. The galley is situated in the well vented space at the back of the saloon below the companionway where the cook can be a part of the social happenings outside in the cockpit when under anchor.

The Bristol 41.1 is a high performance cruiser with distinctive classical styling from the board of famous naval architect Ted Hood. Launched in early 1981 by Bristol Yachts, the boat was built by some of New England’s finest craftsmen. LOCATION: Newcastle, Ontario

The motor yacht “Pearly Faye” is a cabin cruiser with raised deckhouse and flying bridge. The fiberglass hull and deck moulding are finished in white gelcoat with blue accent striping to the hull and deckhouse sides and flying bridge. The canvas cover and door covers are dark blue Sunbrella or similar material. The non skid textured flush-deck is fitted with perimeter railings with boarding openings either side.

The raised deckhouse is fitted with six opening port-lights, three each side. The front deck incorporates a raised portion with port-lights, an anchor pulpit and plow style anchor. The chain locker is beneath the deck ahead of the forward V berth.

The open flying bridge helm station provides good visibility all around and is outfitted with a helm seat, cushioned white vinyl fixed seating and a perimeter railing system instruments and controls for the vessels primary, under way, functions. A teak swim platform is secured to the hull with compression supports through bolted to the transom.

The spacious master aft cabin is bright, with two port lights each side. The aft diesel fuel tank is located underneath the master suite bed. There is plenty of storage in way of drawers and cupboards.

The main salon space is fitted with cushioned seating. The lower-level galley is outfitted with a new propane gas stove, a two way (TBV) refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker, stainless steel sink with hot and cold running water and a generous number of cupboards and shelves for storage. The forward sleeping accommodation space is fitted with an angled bed structure that provides easy access to the generous shelf and storage areas and the anchor chain locker through a small double door.

The three piece master head incorporates a sink, hot and cold water basin, shower and a marine toilet with electric discharge pump. The head space is accessed through a teak door from the interior of the salon area and the master suite aft.

The interior feels warm and cozy with lots of woodwork.

The 160 hp Perkins 6-354 diesel engine is directly coupled to a Borg Warner Velvet Drive hydraulic reduction transmission driving a 1 1⁄2” stainless steel propeller shaft. A three bladed bronze propeller is well secured to the shaft. The engine space is quite accessible. The single turbo-charged Perkins diesel engine is located on the center-line with a diesel fuel tank on the port side and a domestic water tank on the starboard side. A hot water heater is located on the starboard side forward of the domestic water tank.

A 3KW single-cylinder Onan diesel generator is mounted ahead of the port fuel tank. The generator start battery is located inboard of the port side fuel tank. The two 8D house and start and house batteries are located port and starboard at the aft end of the engine space.

A FRP tank is located below the floors level ahead of the engine between the engine support stringers. This may be a black water tank or a shower sump. Much of the mechanical, plumbing and electrical system appears to be original, but there are some newer additions in way of some electrical components associated with various pumps, the bow thruster and battery.

The fuel system incorporates two fuel tanks, one under the master suite bed and one on the port side of the engine room. A fuel distribution manifold is used for fuel distribution. The fuel lines are seamless copper with compression fittings. The generator fuel system draws from the main system.

This is obviously a solidly built craft. With proper care and maintenance she should be expected to provide many more years of enjoyment with comfortable accommodation.

Deck and cabin structures are in good condition and this vessel is very well maintained throughout. The topsides gel coat between the waterline and the sheerline is in excellent condition.

With continued maintenance at this level, this boat should provide many more years of good service.

Descriptions
The deck layout on the Beneteau 50 includes wide sidedecks, a teak-covered bulwark, and judiciously located hatches that ensure easy and safe circulation on deck. The 50 features a dual cockpit configuration. The guest cockpit is well-protected and offers comfort for eight people around the standard table, while the crew cockpit has two steering positions and easy-access to winches for the helmsman. A built-in step and a hinged door lead from the stern to an uncluttered passageway to both cockpits. This Beneteau 50 offers a four double-cabin layout, each with its independent head compartment. An optional crew cabin in the forepeak is also available. The interior of the Beneteau 50 is very elegant with wild cherry wood and white uphostery. Light and ventilation are ensured by 11 opening hatches, 14 opening ports, 6 fixed skylights, and 4 dorade boxes.
