This is to express my wholehearted recommendation for Andre Ganton
from Toronto Yacht Sales, for all the hard work he did while selling
our Tayana Vancouver 42, named Coco I .
I have been working in real estate sales for over 20 years, so I know
what I am talking about. However I had zero experience in selling boats.
When I first met Andre, I noticed that he was young and I assumed that
his experience may not be up to snuff.  My late husband had a lot of
good sailing buddies, mostly racing sailors. They met Andre at the
Boat Show and came back with high praise for his keen interest and
appreciation of our boat’s features and all the important details.
My own observations had shown Andre to be hard working, honest,
trustworthy and knowledgeable. He was enthusiastic and helpful and had
patiently put up with all of my suggestions, some of which were “out
there”..
Together we worked as a team. Andre was able to see that my experience
in selling and my personal contacts were of some value.
He was willing to help with all kinds of tasks on the boat, that were
way beyond and above the usual broker’s duties. For example – he made
special trips to Coco, to check on her a fall storm, retie the fenders
etc.
In short, he is the kind of a broker, you want in your corner. Not a
’star’, but someone who loves and knows boats and is willing to work
hard to earn his commission.
